Merrimac Farm Continuing Education Corner - February 2026

  • 4 min read

Greetings! Hope you've survived the snow and ice and are warm and well!

If you didn't know: Members now have ten (10) in-person CE opportunities, (over 20 CE hours), through the Merrimac Farm Virginia Master Naturalists chapter with five, (5) local lectures, and (5) five local field trip events planned. You have the choice to attend these local lectures and events, to meet your required annual eight (8) CE hours. Please always check the chapter website for registration, cancellations and more information.

The statewide theme is water! Our chapter's goal this year is to increase our diversity, accessibility and inclusion.

The MF VMN chapter is excited to announce a change of location for the CE lectures! All CE lectures for 2026 will be held in Woodbridge, Virginia, at Cokesbury United Methodist Church, 14806 Blackburn Rd, Woodbridge, VA 22191, instead of the Bull Run Unitarian Universalist Church in Manassas. Cokesbury has a large (FREE) parking lot and is a very accessible building.

The Continuing Education Team is looking for volunteers. Team members are wanted to assist with set up, clean up, hospitality, and people with advertising & marketing skills. We need light refreshments. If you can contribute light refreshments, (even, if you don’t join the team), (no mess things that people can eat with their fingers). Fill out this form to express interest: https://forms.gle/aw6JYNEcLMRkxNes7.
