About the event

Forest Bathing, also known as Forest Therapy, is a slow, mindful immersion in Nature that originated in Japan.


The guide will suggest voluntary activities called invitations that help participants let go of the busyness of everyday life and immerse themselves in the soothing sensuality of nature. Forest Bathing has many health benefits, including lowering blood pressure, boosting the immune system and alleviating stress. It also clears the mind and increases creativity.


Meet at the Visitor Center. Space is limited, Call (703)-625-6051 to sign up.


Park entrance fee is $20 per car; program is free. Wear long pants and walking shoes, bring water and insect repellant.
