About the event
Help is urgently needed to plant about 150 Virginia fanpetals at Powell's Creek. Sida hermaphrodita is a critically imperiled native wildflower that Prince William Environmental Management is installing in this area.
When: Tuesday 6/23 starting at 8:00am
Where: Powells Creek in Montclair - 3609 Singla Crossing Lane, Dale City, Virginia 22193 near the power station.
Directions to the planting site: There is a rough dirt road next to the power station that follows the power lines. You can drive it if you are comfortable taking your car on rough terrain. There's space to park at the end.Otherwise, park on Singla Crossing and it's a 5-10min walk.
Supplies: Bring water, sunscreen, hat, hiking boots, gloves. Shovels and extra gloves provided.
