The Continuing Education Team is looking for volunteers. If you have event planning, advertising & marketing skills, we want you! Merrimac Farm 2026 Chapter Continuing Education Lecture & Event Series

April 11, 2026  10 AM - 2 PM, Gabby Youngken, will discuss the history of the Occoquan Bay Wildlife Refuge, give a tour around the Visitor Center starting with a bird walk and talk. 14050 Dawson Beach Rd, Woodbridge, VA 22191.  Please note due to fire code the inside presentation is *Limited to 40 registrants.  Please share the ride.  This is a hybrid presentation featuring a lecture and field event.

May 23, Saturday, 11 AM -  2 PM  Wetlands, Streams, & Riparian Buffers Field Event,  led by Tom Dombrowski, Prince William Environmental Scientist, and our own, Master Naturalist, & Prince William Environmental Analyst, Elliot Foster. 3609 Singla Crossings Lane, Dale City, Virginia 22193. Please share the ride.  Please wear appropriate walking shoes, long pants and bring hats, sunscreen, insect repellant and your own re-usable water bottles. This is a field event and will include walking, and possibly uneven terrain.
